New Fundraising Opportunity
Check out the Team USA Wristbands.  The club will be placing an order for these wristbands by September 4^th.  If you are interested in participating in this fundraiser as one of your club commitments, please contact Christine Trimpe.

Christine needs to know how many you will commit to selling (minimum 10).  The bracelets are available in child and adult sizes.  The metal band on the wristbands advertises the 2010 Vancouver Olympics on one side and the US Figure Skating Team on the other side.

Please let Christine know the quantity of child and adult sizes you wish to sell.  For example, Kaitlin is going to sell 5 child and 5 adult.

When the wristbands come in, BRBFSC will collect from you $6 for each wristband.  This is the suggested retail price.  As you sell the wristbands, you keep the money to recoup your $6.  The club will make $2.55 for each wristband sold.

Dream Cruise Fundraiser
Thanks to all the club families that participated in the Dream Cruise fundraising event.  The club manned one of the city booths on Woodward and sold the official Dream Cruise merchandise.  This was a fun, easy way to put in some volunteer hours.  Keep it in mind for next year!

Thanks to Janice Steingold, Lynn Wasinski, Michelle Henning, Deb Colling, Lisa and Morgan Anderson, Charlene Haines, and Steven and Nina Dickerman for melting along with me and putting in your time.  I’d personally like to thank Charlene Haines for bringing her paper towel to the booth.  You just never know when you are going to drop sandwich dressing all down the front of your shirt or when a dog is going to drool all over your black shorts. 

I don’t have an exact figure of our proceeds yet, but will let everyone know in future board business!

Car Wash
Thanks to all the kids and parents who washed cars - we earned $265 for BRBFSC!!  Check out the sidebar on the website for photos!  Thanks to Deb Colling for sending the photos!

Cookbooks are still available!
With over 200 recipes, the cookbook "Lutz Get Cooking with the Berkley Royal Blades" makes a great gift!  Get your copies now for $10 each!  You can pick up cookbooks from Lisa Anderson, Sandy Engman, Charlene Haines or Kate Griswold at the rink - between the four of them, there should be cookbooks available at the rink every night we skate.  We ask that you please pay for the cookbooks as you take them to assist our recordkeeping!

Fundraising Ideas
The club is still seeking not only fundraising ideas, but members willing to organize and implement fundraising ideas.
